Ted's pick... Off-Dry Delcious Red 2016 Dornfelder from Germany that'll impress everyone!
"Who has ever heard of a "Dornfelder?" Dornfelder is a red grape from Germany's Rheinhessen region.

Here's a fun off-dry red for your next family gathering!

The 2016 Fritz Windisch Heimerscheimer Rotenfels Dornfelder is an off-dry red wine that is flat out delicious.

A great crowd pleaser.

The palate is pleasantly sweet yet balanced with bright acidity, displaying rich flavors of plum, blueberry, blackberry and rose petal.

A great choice for summer evening meals or sipping on the porch."

Customers rave:
"A very tasty, powerful wine of pronounced aroma and rich dark red color. It has a delicious flavor of cherries, red berries and plums with decent, smooth tannins. Its sweetness is pleasant and harmonic, which makes it enjoyable for lovers of not too dry wines."

Aged in large wooden barrels. Barrel ageing allows oxygen to penetrate through and therefore is required for producing this red wine. Through 'breathing' of this red wine, the tannins and red pigments are mellowed and give the wine its special taste and color.

Well-balanced with a strong flavor and pleasant acidity. You can drink it on its own or with cheese, pork, beef, and rich meals.

This is a real head turner that will impress even the wine geeks."

Ted's pick... Dark, Inky, Italian Red Value $15+.....
.....2015 Castelfeder Lagrein drinks like an Italian Cotes-du-Rhone

Lagrein.

An obscure wine from Northern Italy that will please everyone who loves full bodied reds.

We all should be drinking more Lagrein’s!

Grown and produced in the land we buy a lot of our white wines from, this outstanding red has been a big hit here at Pop’s. The 2015 is another gem.

Very similar in taste to a monster Cotes-du-Rhone, but distinctively Italian.

2015 Lagrein, Castelfeder, Alto Adige, Italy.

Very impressed with what this rather young wine delivers.

Cold climate red characteristics with a peppery and plummy taste commingled with black currants that are pronounced but integrated with low tannins and very long length that has just a touch of liquorice.

Harmonious!

Never gets big press but we’ve sold several dozen boxes and it’s a wine customers come back for.

The 2015 Castelfeder Lagrein is intense and complex with a fresh perfume of wild berries and violets. Ideal for red meats and roasts.

Don’t miss it!

Ted's pick... Frenzy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc hits all the tastebuds from Marlborough to Sancerre to Napa Valley!
"Sauvignon Blanc is so diverse.

Tasted yesterday, the 2016 Frenzy is aggressively aromatic, crisp, refreshing, and very vibrant with hints of peach, grapefruit, lime, melon and fresh cut grass.

Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc is my new favorite New Zealand Sauvy!

Part of the reason I like it so much is that it tastes like it has every other wine region in this wine. It hints at California with the fresh cut grass, yet is so very New Zealand with powerful aromatics and intense grapefruits and has a minerality found in Sancerre on the long finish.

Sauvignon Blanc is an international white grape variety that originated in France. It’s long been used to make world-class wines from Sancerre, Bordeaux, and Napa Valley. In recent decades, Sauvignon Blanc has become an everyday favorite thanks to the New World winemakers of New Zealand.

The better producers are dialing back the New Zealand intensity and showing a diversity of palettes in one wine.

The 2016 Frenzy captures the spirit of all three major Sauvignon Blanc Regions.

And… it’s well priced!

$11+!!!!!!!!!!

Ted's pick... Last Call: Outrageous 2015 St. Emilion Red "Bordeaux under $13!!! Chateau La Caze Bellevue winner!!!

Here we go… Last Call… This has been a huge hit here at Pop’s Sorry to see it go…

Today’s unbelievable gem…

The 2015 Chateau La Caze Bellevue Saint Emilion is an amazing deal!

Not yet rated, the 2014 is in the market, but I wanted to wait for the BEST before presenting this Steal of a Value!

Château La Caze Bellevue is a 13-hectare vineyard located just southeast of Libourne in St. Sulpice-de-Faleyrens along the Dordogne River. The vineyard is planted solely with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and the vines are between 30 to 50 years old. Much of the soil on the hills is clay and limestone). However, closer to the river at the base of the hills where the grapes for this 2010 vintage were grown, the soil consists more of sand and gravel. This type of soil is responsible for the traditional, rich style of St. Emilion wines that are so well-known and well-loved.

The 2015 La Caze Bellevue has that intensity and rich smooth fruit that makes you shake your head at seeing what it costs. Drinks like it should be $25-30 a bottle.

I like it A LOT BETTER for $13!!

Great for near term enjoyment, it’ll get better and better over the next 10 years…

That’s when you’ll laugh that you only paid $13+!!!!!!

$13+ For A Phenomenal 2015 St. Emilion!!!

VERY HAPPY to present this to you at an Incredible Price…
