Organic wines are healthy wines.
"Iíve been hearing more and more customers want a better selection of Great Organic wines.

Behind my desk at Popís, Iíve set up a huge table entitled ďFarmerís Market Wines.Ē

Like getting fresh produce at your local farmerís market, you can buy fresh wines made by responsible farmers producing as authentic as possible great wines.

First and foremost, these are Great wines, and Organic/Biodynamic second. Thereís a lot of mediocre Organic wine out there, but not here at Popís!"

Here are 7 WINNERS!

"100% Cortese (Same grape that makes a GAVI) made by a self-taught female winemaker, Stefania Carrea. She uses all natural winemaking and farming techniques to create an every day "wine for the people".

This crisp and fruity white wine is a great wine to have in your home!

All stainless steel fermentation and very low sulphur additions help preserve the Cortese grape in its natural state.

Distinctly tart and refreshing."

"100% Chardonnay for the non-Chardonnay drinker!

Mostly un-oaked Sonoma fruit with a little hint of creaminess due to malolactic fermentation.

This wine was created by a husband and wife team that are known for their high-end, oaky Chardonnay.

Think of this one as its easy going, sustainable little sister wine!

Fresh and fruit forward!

Great with fresh scallops or any shellfish! Yum!"

A perfect every day drinker, this wine is an excellent pairing for Pizza and Pasta!

All stainless steel aging creates a fresh palate, while keeping the organic tradition keeps a little earthiness on the nose.

This is a "red wine for the people."

Medium/light body, fresh acidity, full fruit up front. These grapes were sourced from a practicing organic winery in Piedmont and bottled especially for us!

"The Red grape of Sicily!

100% Nero D'avola from a 100% Biodynamic winery at the base of Mt. Etna in Sicily.

This wine is light, smooth, and is just so gosh darn delicious!

A slightly darker expression of Nero D'Avola, and showcases more blackberry than cherry fruit notes.

With a few days air it drinks beautifully."

"100% Barbera from Monferrato, Piedmont.

25 year old Barbera vines are farmed organically, fermented in stainless steel, and then aged for 28 months in large oak casks.

This Barbera was the winemaker's first wine he every made back in 1998 and he continues to be a "Barbaresita" (a maker of Barbera) to this day.

Excellent acidity, medium body, and made to age!

Drink now or let sit for 10 years, it's up to you! This wine will still taste amazing in 2028!"

"100% Nebbiolo from the Barbaresco DOCG.

This winery used to sell all of their grapes to famed Barbaresco producer, Giacosa.

In 2005 they started bottling their own brand named after the hill in which the grapes are grown, Roccalini.

Fermented in concrete tanks for 60 days on the skins, the wine is then aged for 18 months in oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle before it is released.

Light in body, but heavy in flavor!

Only 100 cases are sent to the United States so grab some before it sells out!
