About $10 – Nothing touches Lyeth’s 2013 Cabernet!!!
"Deep crimson in color, the 2013 Lyeth Cabernet spreads across the palate with layers of cherry, blueberry and cocoa and has an awesome tannin structure that makes this a Go-To Cabernet for all occasions.

Lyeth was one of the first wineries in California to pursue the unique complexity and composition achieved by the marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon with the other major Bordeaux varieties, now known as the Meritage style."

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine
"An ambitious, concentrated, but not oaky wine, this has a very dark color, aromas of black cherries, and ripe but dry flavors of blackberries and dark chocolate. It is medium to full bodied, framed by lots of fine-grained tannins and finishing with more dark fruit. It's a good wine to lay down and drink after 2019."

An Old Favorite is back…..
"A Napa Cabernet for $22+??! Yes. Really. Here's the skinny on this Hardin Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2003 Doug Polaner, one of the fine wine importers, was visiting Napa wineries that produced high end, $100-200 Napa Cabs. He noticed that many of these wineries had barrels of juice which they weren't using for their own wines. That's because they didn't make the celestial cut, but overall the juice was still in the very top ranks. Most likely, those barrels would be sold to other wineries and made into $40-70 Cabernets. Doug decided that he was going to head those other wineries off at the pass and create a Napa Cabernet that drinks like a $50+ bottle, but costs less than $30. Here it is."

Another great secret in cab under $30 now?
"This cuvée is a new wine by Laely Heron - years in the making. The search for the right vineyards to produce this elegant wine led her to several districts within the Napa Valley AVA: Howell Mountain, Rutherford, Atlas Peak and Oakville. The wine is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petite Verdot. Having studied winemaking in France, she envisioned a Bordeaux-inspired red. A wine that is serious without expressing one dimensional, over-the-top oak notes, but rather a balanced profile at release with an age worthy, yet approachable tannin structure.

Cassis expresses the base of the aroma followed by both ripe and dried cherries with some pencil lead scents, and subtle cigar box notes. The palate is very supple and ripe with cherry vanilla, sweet black cherry, leather and light allspice followed again by cassis. The finish is long and the wine responds very well to decanting and develops right in the glass.

Educated Guess’s Big Brother – Hypothesis – The 2013 Rocks!
"This Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and complex, bus still has incredible finesse. They believe their reserve Cabernet can go up against some of the big boys in the game, but don't take their word for it and decide for yourself! A wine of incredible finesse, the Hypothesis Cab sports regal aromas of blackberries, spicy oak, and violets. Made in a full-bodied, rich style with plenty of dark cherry, spice, and cigar box flavors. Like the best of Napa Cabs, it possesses a smooth, fully textured finish. Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot."

The Most complete Oakville Cabernet in store under $100!!!!!!!
94 Points, Wilfred Wong
"A complete cabernet at last! When I think of so many cabs that I have tasted and drunken that remind me of cough syrup in both flavors and sweetness, this one is such a welcome relief as it begins and ends like real wine that is meant to paired with food (e.g. the crisp finish). The 2013 Ghost Block Cabernet sings with the best of them. Medium to dark ruby color; active red currant aroma, with some black fruits, savory spices and sweet earth, excellent depth and penetration; medium to full bodied, highly structured; dry, medium acidity, well balanced; active red and black fruit flavors, some dark earth notes; medium to long finish, savory and youthful in the aftertaste."

The Priest is singing beautifully now…
93 points, Robert Parker
"One of the most original blends I've seen from California"

93 points, Antonio Galloni
“The 2012 Coach gun is Priest Ranch's Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend. A rich, explosive wine, the 2012 saturates the palate with notable intensity and pure power. Dark red/black fruit, espresso, grilled herbs and licorice are some of the many notes that open up in this voluptuous yet powerful wine from Priest Ranch.”

Faust’s Big Brother… Quintessa 2013 is here – Extremely Limited!!!
"Rarely do you find a wine that is seamless from start to finish. This wine entices with aromas of violets mingled with red and black fruit. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated, finishing with elegant well-balanced tannins. This is truly an exceptional wine from a textbook growing season."

98 Points - James Suckling
"This is really fantastic on the nose with blackberry, blueberry, lavender, and violets. Even sage. Full body plus extremely integrated tannins that are polished and refined. The balance and harmony is phenomenal. Goes on for minutes. Beautiful now but will satisfy for decades. "
