"..... A strong candidate for our best $10 sparkler....."
"This all-purpose, great value Spanish sparkler is totally fun and delicious. Making things even better, we've been able to get the price down significantly to just over $10.00 when purchased by the case! This perfect Mimosa bubbly is crisp and refreshing. The Sonim Brut Cava has a complex minerality with a long finish resulting in a richer-than-many Cava experience. A strong candidate for our best $10 sparkler, Sonim is a great value!"

"..... Killer Value!....."
"At a recent tasting with my friends from Aviva Wines, we tasted this incredible Primitivo (80%), Aglianico (20%) blend from Puglia. My friends from Aviva are well known for their Spanish portfolio. However they are bringing in some great Italian reds also, see my review of the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Feudo di Duca, Pop's Wines & Spirits, May 13, 2016. It just goes to show you that some guys have a knack for finding Super value gems. This voluptuous, richly-textured wine is a relatively delicate, style of red that nevertheless shows the inner sweetness and richness of the grapes, but without too much heaviness or power. This is a very expressive wine with polished sweet tannins and a smooth soft finish. This is for all of us who love Amarone, very reminiscent of Amicone and Gran Passione. Killer Value!"

".....shows a polished texture....."

"It takes two hands to lift this bottle, but if you like reds in the plush, international style, it's worth the effort. It reminds me another one of my favorite Spanish wine Clio. The 2010 Cenit is pure Tempranillo. This ripe red shows a polished texture supported by chewy tannins and toasted oak. This highly extracted rich red will most definitely appeal to all you Orin Swift and The Prisoner fans."
Victor Doyle, General Manager, Pop's Wines & Spirits, October, 2016

“Floral black-fruit aromas are mildly raisiny and condensed. This is a potent bomber with deep flavors of blackberry, chocolate, nutmeg and fig. Overall, it's fruity, dense and delicious but a touch short on complexity. On the finish, powerful tannins only increase their vise grip. Drink through 2022.”

"..... It is fresh, mellow and velvety....."
"Lugana could be one of Italy’s best kept secrets for a white wine. So what is Lugana? This wine is made with 100% Turbiana grape, previously known as Trebbiano di Lugana. This grape variety produces wines with a high level of minerality, a good acidity, and an intense and complex bouquet. The nose is elegant. It is fresh, mellow and velvety, with a perfect balance and a pleasant minerality. Best served with seafood starters, shellfish, white meats and pasta dishes with olive oil or light cream sauces. It is perfect as an aperitif, alone or accompanied by raw oysters."

"It's a rare thing to find a wine of this quality produced in this kind of quantity, and have it be a trendy wine all at once. Enjoy the crisp, just off dry flavors of pear, stone and soft citrus with all kinds of appetizers, or as a solo celebration glass. A Platinum Award winner at the 2016 Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition.”

"The Venta de la Ossa Syrah is quite dark-colored with a smoky/bacon fat with upfront flavors of ripe fruit and plenty of roasted notes. Reminiscent of the days of those outstanding Shiraz from Australia. This big, jammy Syrah is packed with spice, baked plum and blackberry aromas. In the mouth, it's big and voluminous with long and lasting on the finish."
Victor Doyle, General Manager, Pop's Wines & Spirits, October, 2016

“Firm and focused, this red delivers harmonious flavors of plum, licorice, black olive and mineral, supported by brisk tannins and crisp acidity. There's a core of fruit, but the finish takes a refreshing savory turn. Drink now through 2020.”
