This is amazing!
They say $35 (The Wine Advocate), we say $20!!
One of California's great Chardonnays, rated 92 points, and worth
every bit of $35..... read this review and you'll see! At $20 this may very
well be one of the deals of the year!
"The 2007 Chardonnay Private Reserve (always one of California’s top
Chardonnays) has toned down the toasty oak component, exhibiting excellent
nutty, honeyed, buttery notes of orange marmalade, brioche, and spice.
Full-bodied, rich, and pure, it reminds me of a Burgundian premier cru from
Chassagne-Montrachet or Meursault.
It is always interesting that, aside from two or three of the single
vineyards, the Private Reserve final blend is always the finest wine of the
group. This has been proven time and time again at these tastings." ($35)

If the Beringer above is enough of a deal, this one's even more
incredible! A 16 year old Scotch, rated Superb (90-95 points) for less than
$50 bucks.... Yep, this is too good to be true!
"Soy sauce, olive brine, peat, honey, oloroso Sherry, brewer’s yeast,
bread dough, barley malt and cigar smoke in the bouquet. The flavor that
magically includes the innate intense peatiness of Islay malts and the
masterly employment of oak barrels phase defines “classy Islay.” Concludes
sweetly, without sacrificing the tangy, astringent peatiness that is
inherent. Gorgeous. Best Buy."

fragrances. Soft, melded mouth-feel with silky, oak-tinged tannins. Closes

"Glass-staining ruby. Cherrycola and blackberry on the nose, with sexy
vanillin oak and baking spice accents. Pliant dark berry flavors stain the
palate , with firming dusty tannins absorbed by the fruit on the broad,
sweet, long finish. I find the oak here (all new, one-third of it American)
to be complementary to the lush fruit but imagine that those with old-school
palates will disagree." ($19)

"Vivid red. Seductively perfumed, complex bouquet of red and dark
berries, Asian spices and minerals. Pinot-like in aromas and flavors, with
sweet raspberry and blackberry notes, silky texture and good back-end snap.
This graceful wine is already very tasty but is balanced to age."

"What a nice surprise! Here is a rich Chianti with a dark,
impenetrable appearance and elegant aromas of spice, bursting red cherry and
blueberry preserves. The wine is chewy and soft with loads of pulpy fruit on
the close. Pair it with steak or mixed grilled meats." ($16)
