Pop's Shipping Policy

We have the legal authority under New York State Regulations to ship wines out of the state. As it is impossible for us to research the regulations in all 50 states, it is up to the purchaser to determine that he or she is not in violation of their own state's regulations regarding the importation of wines. We ship all our wines in unmarked boxes for security purposes. Title to all wine purchases passes to the purchaser at our premises in Island Park, New York.
By placing an order, you certify to us that you and/or the recipient
are over 21 years of age.

Packing/Freight
A minimum packing freight charge of $9.50
applies to any order less than $100.00 to each destination
Packing/Freight Charges are per 750ml bottle.
Other sizes may incur adjusted packing/freight charges.

We try to save you money!!
Our packing/freight charges are considerably less than the actual cost of shipping. In addition if you send us back the shipping containers (at your expense) we'll credit your account at the rate of $0.75 per bottle, i.e. a 12-pack shipping container earns your account a $9.00 credit. You save money and help us help the environment. Please note that these credits to your account are not refundable in cash and can only be used against future orders. You can save money by securely taping boxes together and shipping multiple boxes as one unit. We can only credit your account if we receive the complete container back (that includes all pieces and the cardboard box). If your order was shipped with no packing/freight charges (NY metro) then no credit applies for returned shipping containers.
We will not issue credit for other peoples containers.

VERY IMPORTANT - Wine can be damaged by temperature extremes.  It is your responsibility to monitor temperatures in your area, or along the route a truck might follow. We cannot be held responsible if you request shipment and the wines travel in a climate outside an acceptable temperature range. We are happy to hold your pre-paid order for up to six months at no additional charge if you would prefer to wait for a more temperate time. We are not responsible for any wines once they leave our premises via U.P.S. or any other common carrier. Please be advised that any claims are your responsibility between you and the carrier involved. Please be aware that claims are difficult and/or impossible due to the myriad of alcohol transport regulations that may or may not exist in your area.

We are unable to accept returns for any reason after one year from the invoice date.

Since temperatures often prevent shipment, months may go by during which time we are holding wines for our customers. When we invoice it is a GUARANTEE that the items outlined have been physically set aside and marked with our customer's name. They are NOT available for sale to any other individual. Understandably no efficient business can hold unpaid goods for long periods of time. Therefore.... all invoices are due & payable on receipt. We reserve the right to return items to stock after 30 days if an invoice remains unpaid. Billed items are on hold for your account, therefore a charge of 1.5% per month applies to unpaid balances after 30 days.
