Clase Azul Anejo is the newest addition to the ultra-premium tequila family is also known as “Edición Indígena-Mazahua” (Mazahua Edition) due to the bottle design’s tribute to the local culture. Mazahua natives are a group indigenous people in the small village of Santa María Canchesesda and each bottle is hand-crafted in the village. The decanter symbolizes the union of authentic Mexican indigenous roots (represented by the unfired clay) with European glazing techniques that when combined, result in a combination of history, art, and the highest quality tequila all making Clase Azul Anejo a truly exemplary expression.

Clase Azul Description

To become tequila, agave goes through a long transformation:

During the jima (harvest) the leaves of the plant are removed to expose its core, known as the piña. These piñas are slow-cooked in masonry ovens and then milled to extract the sugars that result from the cooking process. Fermentation with our patented yeast imparts our distinctive profile to the elixir. Its notes are then molded through a double distillation in copper stills. This dedicated effort results in an exquisite tequila.

25 years ago, we had a dream: to share the magic of Mexican culture with the world. Our culture, our traditions, and our land have inspired us on this journey.

Our iconic decanter, a unique creation in the world made by the hands of Mexican artisans, began our dream.

Our name was born from our inherent nature. Clase Azul—blue like the agave our spirits are made from and like the paint on our first Reposado decanter.

Decanter:

Its external beauty tells the story of its origin. At the bottom, the spirals super imposed on the raw clay symbolize the earth's fertility.

The thin blue line is representative of the water which gives life to the agave. In the center, the piña symbolizes the heart and soul of tequila.

On the back, the four-petaled flower is the traditional Mazahua representation of the Sun and its fullness in the center of space and time. Lastly, it features the delicate, and distinctive feathered design of the Clase Azul family in 24K gold paint.
