The search for the precise coffee flavor ended in Colombia where we found just the right espresso flavor. Van Gogh Espresso Vodka has a wonderful aroma of fresh roasted coffee beans complemented by a spark of cocoa. The taste has just the right amount of bitterness for espresso lovers. The finish is long and lingering, like a great cup of espresso.
The initial aroma is firmly structured and a tad baked; following additional air contact the aroma opens up adding charming scents of burnt match, cigar ash, linseed oil and peanuts. The palate entry is smooth and off-dry; by midpalate, flavors expand to include paraffin, creamery butter and vegetable oil. Finishes elegantly and creamy smooth. P.P., 6/1/2006.
