This wine is from one of New Zealand's pioneer winemakers, Allan and his wife Catherine, who planted Marlborough's first vineyards in 1990. It is is a crowd-pleasing, affordable sipper full of passionfruit, grapefruit and herbs, with a vegetal tinge and a salty edge. It finishes with zippy acidity and a long, salty citrus finish,
Fresh, zesty, juicy and full, this fruit-driven new world-style wine will excite the senses without the racy overload. Tropical fruit with a fresh herbaceous character balanced with zesty passionfruit and a dry finish. A crisp refreshing wine, that shows the true terroir characters of the soil and area it comes from.
Expect the familiar and beloved aromas and flavours that Marlborough is renowned for.
This leaps out of the glass, with expressive, intense fruit flavors of silky smooth lemon meringue, mango, tangerine and fresh-cut apple. Candied ginger and green tea notes join a detail of salted lime before lingering on the mouthwatering finish. Drink now. 100,000 cases made, 65,000 cases imported. MaryAnn Worobiec.
