From Wine-Searcher.com:
"This wine has received more awards than any other wine from the region: the 2017 vintage was awarded Silver from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition."
The Raboso Piave grape (Friularo di Bagnoli) is quite different from other well known Italian grape varieties. It is quite acidic and has a "sweet" fruit core. The wine has aromas and flavors of red berries, dried raisins, violets and cherries. But that core is really sweeter than in other wines from the dried late harvested grapes . This is another Italian wine that is quite off the beaten path.
Deep ruby red with reflections tending towards garnet, aromatic bouquet with hints of ripe red berries and aromas of cherries and violets, soft on the palate, almost sweet, broad, intense and full-bodied, of good strength with an acidic touch, very harmonious, aromatic and persistent. More than 90% Rabioso Piave.
Conselve Vigneti e Cantine is an Agricultural Cooperative Company located in the south-eastern part of the Veneto region at 50 km from Venice that is making wine from the grapes of its members since 1950. In particular Friularo Ambasciatore, is an excellent red wine made from late harvested grapes dried in an indoor room with slow fermentation and long ageing in durmast casks.
