A traditional blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo
Carpineto Chianti Classico is produced from estate-owned vineyards in the picturesque countryside of the Tuscan appellation. Full bodied with a velvety texture, this Chianti is abundantly aromatic with notes of violets, berries, and cherries. Aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and Slavonian oak barrels for 4-6 months, then bottled aged an additional 4-6 months.

Strawberries, sour cherries and bubblegum pop off the nose of this Chianti Classico, contrasted with notes of fresh grass, wild fennel and licorice. The palate turns almost to mint chocolate chip, with cherries, macerated wild strawberries and more coffee. Easy to love but not without mystery. Danielle Callegari, 4/1/2023.
