Dating back to the 14th century, the Glögglhof estate sits at the edge of the city Bozen/Bolzano, south of the Dolomites. The Gojer family [Franz, Maria Luise and their son Florian] respect and continue the estate’s winemaking history that stretches back many generations. Franz and Florian are dedicated to cultivating indigenous varietals. They practice sustainable agriculture in harmony with nature, with minimal intervention in the cellar.
The grapes are hand harvested from vineyards 600 meters (1800 feet) above sea level. “The old vines have naturally little yield, small berries and the exposed south-facing slope allow the grape to fully mature.” The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks.
asting Notes: Bright transparent ruby red in colour with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, black raspberry liqueur and soft pepper spice. Tasting similar to the aromas, with cherry, strawberry, raspberry, red currant dusted with crushed white peppercorn and rose petal, accented by fresh acidity and silky tannins. Agile and fruity, fantastic on its own or with a wide variety of dishes.
