The nose has aromas of lime wedge and lemon flesh. The flavors start with tartGranny Smith apple, some citrus and grapefruit juice with stony minerals and a hint of mint. There is a pure citrus fruit streak that drives a clean and spritzy finish. This is complemented by some florals notes before the closing minerality takes over. The wine is noticeably cloudy in the glass with plenty of obvious sediment in bottle; ever-so-delicately sparkling. And with just 10.5% ABV. this ultra-light bodied wine with its delightfully high acidity this Pet Nat by Integrale is a very deliciously fresh, uncomplicated, unpretentious bubbly from Italy.
Mostly Glera, same grape used in Prosecco, with a small amounts of Garganega, Serprino and Pinell and a touch Muscat Alexandria added. All grapes are hand picked and fermented in tanks. Refermented in the botlle and not filtered and thus cloudy; frizzante, not sparkling.
They are produced only from typical organic grapes, the content of alcohol is low (only 10,5%), there is no residual sugar, and of course they are bubbly and entertaining.
All this makes our pet-nat wines great and to be drunk easy as a beer.
