Jordan Description

Not a typical California Chardonnay, Jordan honors the finest white Burgundy with its crisp fruit flavors, vibrant acidity and lingering finish. This balanced, elegant style of Russian River Valley Chardonnay can be cellared for 5-8 years,...

In a world where successful wineries and wine brands are increasingly owned by corporations, Jordan Winery is proud to be owned and operated by John Jordan, whose parents founded the winery in 1972.

We focus on just three things: chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and hospitality. This allows us to maintain our extremely high standards of wine quality and value, while still exploring ways to improve our wines, our guest experiences and our culture year after year. Every detail is attended to with a passion guided by John Jordan’s philosophy that every vintage, every meal and every tasting should be better than the last.

Jordan wines are made in a European style that allows them to pair well with a broad range of foods. Our winemaking emphasizes the wine’s fruit and acidity rather than its alcohol and tannin. Acidity plays two roles central to food pairing: cleansing of the palate and providing balance. Achieving elegance and balance in the bottle drives all that we do in our vineyards and cellar so that every bottle of Jordan enhances the meal, not overwhelms it.

Tasting Panel: 95 Points

Crisp acidity and precise minerality entertain on the bright mid-palate. Following fermentation and sur-lie aging in a combination of stainless steel and barrel, this wine spends five and a half months in 100% new French oak, bringing out tropical notes of pineapple and gardenia. Crisp acidity and precise minerality entertain on the bright mid- palate. Tangerine, apple, and mint are focused and edgy yet tempered by that delicate oak influence.
