An introduction to the world of Yering Station, this wine stands as an exemplary Victorian expression. Produced with clean and modern winemaking techniques, it is silky, fresh and approachable. True to the regional style, it offers red cherries coupled with delicious brambly spice. The wine finishes long and juicy with a lovely briary spice carrying through alongside the ripe cherry fruit.
When vines were first planted by the Scottish-born Ryrie brothers in 1838, our land named ‘Yering’ by the First Nations People became the first vineyard in the state of Victoria. The brothers acquired 43,000 acres and planted two grape varieties – black cluster and sweet water. They also used the land to house their cattle farm.
