The Saracosa Governo has the typical flavors from the Sangiovese of ripe, red fruits such as strawberry and cherry. The wine finishes with creamy chocolate raisin and vanilla oak notes. Saracosa Governo is a gorgeous, rich Italian red.
Mostly Sangiovese with a small amount of Merlot.
Saracosa Toscana Governo uses the governo method, allowing a portion of the Sangiovese to air dry for 20 days which concentrates the flavor concentration and complexity of the wine. The addition of Merlot adds a soft, plummy smoothness and time aging in oak barrels adds some spice and the chocolate and vanilla notes.
