Amber color. Aromas of Spanish peanuts, cacao nib, and black tea with a chewy, vibrant, dry medium body and an interesting, medium-long spicy cinnamon, clove, ground black pepper, and basil finish. A rich and spicy Bourbon with distinctive earthy qualities.
Larceny Bourbon gets it’s name from John E. Fitzgerald who was a treasury agent who used his keys to Kentucky bourbon warehouses to steal premium barrels of bourbon and bottle them under his own brand Old Fitzgerald. Over the years the Old Fitz brand changed hands many hands and was once owned by Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle but now is owned by Heaven Hill, the maker of Larceny Bourbon.

Oh Larceny Bourbon. Your dessert like qualities, refined yet rowdy texture and benedictine meets bourbon spiced cherries scent make you one hell of a sipping bourbon. Neat no ice and you’re the perfect compliment to a hearty meal and filled with those wonderful sweet wheat qualities you get in Maker’s Mark, W.L. Weller, Pappy and all the others that share that wheater category save maybe Rebel Yell which always tastes bitter to me.
Larceny was hand selected by the Master Distillers to have a taste profile of a six-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Made with wheat as the secondary grain, instead of the traditional rye, Larceny is a smoother tasting Bourbon.
Color: Bright new copper
Aroma: Fresh bread and toffee, with a note of butterscotch
Taste: Buttery caramel and honeyed notes, with a rich mouthfeel
Finish: Long, gently sweet and savory
Lots of dried fruit, figs, and caramel lead off this bold but balanced bourbon, as dark berry fruits smack of sweet crème de cassis on the palate. There’s a good bit of spice here, like hot and spicy peanuts, that meets the sweet fruit and vanilla. Shows great length and nice polish on the finish with its dusty oak and cocoa.
