A blend of about 35% Nebbiolo, 25% Merlot, 25% Barbera and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety is vinified separately before blending and then maturation in oak for 12 months. Sito Morseco has an attractive redcurrant and cassis nose with complex spice and herbal notes.

Angelo Gaja took over the family business in 1970 and, as he says: *The challenge was to maintain the basic power and depth of Nebbiolo while polishing the wines to give them richer colour, fuller fruit, better balance and a more refined style.'
A beautiful violet color atypical of Nebbiolo but reflective of the 2021 vintage where fullness and richness are even present to the eye. The wine has bold notes of blackberry, cherry, blood orange, and bergamot with a touch of flintiness. Medium-structured with lots of juiciness and harmony on the palate all lead to well-balanced acidity and tannin structure with a long finish.
The name derives from Moresco, the previous owner of the parcel in Pajorè vineyard which was purchased in 1979.
